It’s late and my husband snores softly beside me. I sit up against the pillow, laptop on my lap, Beau, our mini poodle snuggles against my leg. The months have raced by, and here I am at 10:37 P.M. on Sunday Night. I have to be up at zero dark thirty to catch a plane tomorrow. I just finished up my one-page queries that I hope to present this week at the writer’s conference. Whew! That was a close one!

Eagerly I have anticipated the Blue Ridge Christian Writer’s Conference in Ashville, N.C. Not only do I love North Carolina, but I look forward to clearing my head and spending time with God doing something that I love. Writing.

I breathe deeply, reflecting on the past months and the work to get to this point. Thank you Father God for guiding me to this moment. Lead me this week as I listen and learn. I trust in you to guide me every step of the way.

In Jesus’s name I pray. Amen
