Those of you who have been checking out my new blog thank you. It is a new endeavor for me and part of some new goals I have set for myself. I attended a Christian Writer’s Conference back in October and it was life changing for me. It was the catalyst I needed to continue writing. I will post more about specifics of that conference later. For now, I am writing daily and reading scripture, not with the goal of getting published but with the goal of growing in Christ and maybe sharing my journey and hope with others.

I am currently rewriting my Word of the Year post to make it more of a feature article. It has taken a new route, and it is much better. Writing is a labor of love for me, and it requires a lot of time and rewriting. At the writers’ conference I attended back in October, I saw a quote that said, “I write; therefore, I rewrite.” These are true words. I am writing each morning before work, not only to practice my craft, but to grow in the Lord. I appreciate those of you who have taken the time to read my blog and follow me on this journey. I do appreciate feedback so please keep checking for new posts.

God Willing I will continue to write and post on this site a couple of times a month. Please follow me along on this journey. Would you also pray for me as I navigate these days in Middle School as an English Language Arts teacher? Some days are tough, and sometimes the apathy of students gets to me. The disrespect of some students wears me down and crushes the spirit. I know the truth though. My heavenly Father loves me; my identity is in Him alone. I can do All things through Him and he goes before me daily.
